Evron Foods Group – a leading independent bakery with an international customer base - is poised for expansion following the acquisition of a significant stake in the business by Oklahoma based Bama Companies Inc.
Morris Evans, MD of Evron Foods Group said the deal with Bama would fast-track plans for a new 45,000 square foot production and innovation facility in Craigavon creating employment for additional 50 people once the new factory is fully operational.
Evron Foods Group has been trading for 35 years and operates from two locations in Craigavon, Northern Ireland and Pontypool, Wales. It employs a total of 360 people making a range of high-volume quality frozen and chilled bakery products for leading retailers, foodservice and manufacturing customers throughout the UK, Ireland, Mainland Europe, USA and the Middle East.
The business has annual turnover of £49m.
Founded in Texas in 1927, Bama Companies Inc has factories in USA, China and Europe producing 2 million biscuits a day as well as handheld pies, buns, pie shells and pizza crusts for customers all over the world.
