Local lunch legend DELI-LITES Ireland has announced its latest sponsorship season of Warrenpoint Town Football Club ahead of the new round of fixtures which has just kicked off. The five-year-strong sponsorship is now entering a new three-year deal and helps fund the club’s senior kit and training gear.
Speaking about the company’s continued commitment to the local sporting community, Managing Director for DELI-LITES Ireland, Brian Reid, said:
“We pride ourselves in our support for the local community and have long recognised the importance which sport plays in developing team-building, promoting a healthy lifestyle and building community spirit.
“We’re thrilled to continue our support for home-grown talent at Warrenpoint FC. As someone who has been part of the club and a supporter for a number of years, I’m well aware of the time and dedication that goes into training and competing, so I’m delighted to be able to offer assistance in ensuring the team looks its best when out on the pitch.”
Connaire McGreevy, Chairman of Warrenpoint Football Club commented:
“DELI-LITES Ireland’s sponsorship has been instrumental in enabling us to promote and practice the sport we love. The whole team has put in an incredible amount of hard work and we have a big start to the upcoming season. It’s a team game on and off the pitch and DELI-LITES’s continued and consistent support along the way helps us promote a healthy lifestyle to our players and fans. The squad is fuelled this year by DELI-LITES, and it is these partnerships that we believe will give us the edge this season.”
Advocating a healthy lifestyle in conjunction with their support of local sport, DELI-LITES Ireland has recently expanded its range of food-to-go delicacies to include vegan, gluten free and dairy free alternatives as well as lower calorie options and hearty salad bowls for a healthier choice.
DELI-LITES Ireland was founded by Brian and Jackie Reid in 1998 and is based outside Warrenpoint, employing over 250 people. The business produces around 15m hand-made sandwiches, wraps and salads annually and distributes across Ireland.
